1. Real-World Usage First
Before diving into benchmarks, we live with the device for at least 5 days. We test it in real scenarios — using apps, making calls, browsing, gaming, and streaming — just like any normal user would.
2. Performance Benchmarks
We use tools like Geekbench, 3DMark, and SpeedTest to measure CPU, GPU, and network performance. For laptops, we test with Cinebench, PCMark, and file rendering tools like Adobe Premiere or Blender.
3. Battery Life Testing
We perform continuous video playback tests, web browsing, and simulated daily usage to estimate screen-on time. Battery life is compared with other devices in the same category.
4. Display & Sound Evaluation
We measure brightness, color accuracy, refresh rate, and viewing angles. Sound is tested using standardized music playback, calls, and speakerphone scenarios.
5. Camera Testing
We test camera performance in different lighting conditions: daylight, low light, indoor, and with/without flash. We analyze sharpness, dynamic range, color reproduction, and video stabilization.
6. Software & Updates
We check for bloatware, UI smoothness, and software stability. We also verify the manufacturer’s update policy and actual firmware history, where possible.
7. Value for Money
We evaluate the device against competitors in the same price bracket. A $400 phone is judged differently than a $1,200 flagship — and we make that clear in our ratings.
